Mindful Pleasures Therapy is led by Ashlyn James a Registered Psychotherapist. Ashlyn holds a Master of Education (MEd) in the Counselling and Psychotherapy program at the University of Toronto. Ashlyn has worked with childhood trauma, navigating family conflict, mood disorders, sexuality, race, culture, life transitions, anxiety, and depression. Her approach is strength-based and trauma-informed and includes elements of attachment theory, interpersonal psychotherapy, social justice and whole person wellness.
Ashlyn’s goals as a therapist are to help clients understand how their life experiences, worldview and intersectionality influence their wellbeing and identity, and building a judgment-free space to work through challenging issues.
